My husband Mike and I live in Findlay, Ohio which is in Hancock County, but we love to travel around Ohio just driving, but we also like to find new and different places to eat while we travel. We started out just telling the kids, “You’ve got to try this place we just are.” But I thought I could tell others about the interesting and fun places we’ve stopped at. One day I was at work and a friend of mine told me about a restaurant in a small village in Wood County, just to the north of us. She told me they had wonderful food and a small country store. She said she often takes visiting family and friends there. So, of course we had to try it. She was definitely right. Their location is 117 E. Main Street, Wayne, Ohio.
There are not many businesses in Wayne other than this restaurant and shop but it is worth the trip. The country store has paintings, candles, lighting, and a lot of country decor. The restaurant seats more people than you would think. There are two dining rooms, the second one has large tables to accommodate larger groups. Would be a great place to take a large family or friends group or even an office gathering.
There menu is quite extensive for a small restaurant including sandwiches, soups, wraps dinners, salads and terrific homemade pies. I had the chicken fajita wrap and Mike had a club sandwich. Both were delicious. Try this restaurant it is worth the trip through Ohio farmland.
Hope you try this little restaurant and shop. I know we did. We’ve been back several times.
